30 Day Beauty Challenge - Day 07 — Favourite item of clothing

My favourite item or should I say items of clothing at the moment are my padded jackets I love them, I first started off with a navy blue one from Dorothy Perkins then I saw a green one and knew I needed it then I saw a burgundy purpleish one the other day and purchased that too, I love them and want loads lol! Here's pictures off the Dorothy Perkins website of the ones that I have.

Here they are, I love them because they are long in the body too which most are quite short on me but these are just right. I also have one from River Island which is a emerald green (I think it's that type of green lol) and that is lovely too but shorter than these ones and I don't really wear that one much but I do love it.

What I purchased at the Clothes Show Live

I honestly don't think I brought much because I don't tend to buy stuff I know I won't use now, I use to love doing that but then regret it once I'd got home so that's a no go now lol!

First I went to find the Lee Stafford stand and brought 3 products for £10 then the lady said I could have another product for £2 which is a really good deal seeing as all of these below products are over £5. The hairspray and shampoo I've used before and love, I needed heat protection so thought I'd try this one and have wanted to try the salt spray for a while. I will probably do a review of the salt spray once I've gave it a try.

I then went to the Models Own stand and picked up 3 nail varnishes for £10 and got a free goodie bag with £85 worth of products in (said it on the big board) there is a lot of products but most I haven't opened because I know I wont use them so many put them in a give away if I do decide to do one.

There was some very lovely stalls there selling amazing things. I noticed lots of bags that I liked around on the stalls but not one that I instantly wanted to buy then near to the end just before I decided to leave the NEC to catch the train back I noticed a stand with some gorgeous bags, I liked a few but loved the one pictured below so decided to purchase it, It is real italian leather, priced up at £110 but I got it for £35 amazing or what??? Love it :) the picture doesn't do it much justice but it really is so smart and lovely (crappy picture).

When you purchase your tickets for CSL sometimes there is an offer on that you get something free when you order your tickets, for me and the bfs tickets we got free tights we just had to give the vouchers in to the stand ' Pretty Polly Tights' then we got them in a pink bag (unfortunately didn't get to choose the style I wanted). Obviously the Bf wasn't going to keep his for himself as tights really aren't his thing hahaha! so I had both bags, the patterns on the tights aren't very nice so I won't be wearing them and they may be in a give away too, not too sure as of yet though.

I love the things that I brought and can't wait to go again next year, If you haven't ever been you need to you will honestly love it :)

Clothes Show Live 2011

Yesterday (5th) I went to the Clothes Show Live at the NEC Birmingham and my god it was amazing! When I was at school I went with them twice and since then hadn't been since I'd left school but this year I definitely wanted to be there, I could of gone any day but I picked the Monday because James 'Arg' Argent was going to be there and so was Mark (Maria Fowler stepped in for him as he was still in australia). My Dad brought me the tickets for my birthday and Me and the Boyfriend went.

It's hard to explain the feeling of what happened before we got there but to cut a long story short my Boyfriend got on the train to see if it was the right one from Birmingham to the NEC and the doors began to shut, I wasn't on the train I was waiting on the platform by the door because he was only going on to check, there was nothing said over the speaker that the door was shutting even though the man said there was, my boyfriend was on the train not even knowing if it was going to the right place and I was on my own (there was strangers around obviously) on the platform. I need to cut it short else I'll be here forever and I'll be missing out the kind of bad bit (which is funny now we think about it) He did get on the right train, I got on another train and met him at the NEC stop, Thankfully it was straight forward that I found where the other train was because I'm not use to trains.

ANYWAY.....

We got to the NEC, watched the fashion show and it was amazing seriously. I had a major crush on one of the models he was lush and he retweeted one of my tweets that I send to him eeeekkk I was so excited and happy :) still am! I saw George Lamb, Arg, Maria Fowler, Jeff Braizer, some of the Hollyoaks cast, Lucien Laviscount, Tobias off BGT, Lady off BNTM (forgot her name) and Kimberley Wyatt.

Here are some pictures of the day...

I have more and also videos of Arg performing. The shopping was great I got a few things which I love, had a lush brown bread tuna sub which I haven't had for so long mmm. I have cut this quite short really, if I mention everything about the day it will just be a page full of writing, I love love loved it.

One thing I did notice was I had a few of the eye brow bar ladys from the different companys come up to me and ask what I filled my brows in with and asked if I'd like them to try the new powders on them instead, I did decline because if I didn't like the result I'd feel unconfident with my brows looking shitty all day but I do want to make them look better so I'm now thinking of trying it out, can anyone recommend any good eyebrow shadows? Thank you in advance :)

30 Day Beauty Challenge : Day 04 — Favourite foundation

Revlon Colorstay, I have been using it since my last 2 years of school and I love it, I haven't found another one as of yet that is better than this for me, I am on the look out for one similar but if I find a nice one there either isn't a colour the same as I use in this one or it doesn't react with my skin well. I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have this foundation lol! It's £11.99 or £12.99 I think, which is really good I think personally. I love it.

30 Day Beauty Challenge : Day 03 — Your hairstyle

I tend to always have my hair big and back combed, If I don't and I don't feel like me, it's actually hard to explain how it makes me feel but I think it's because I'm so use to it now and it's like a type of security blanket or something maybe? I do try and have it flat to give it a break but that only usually happens if I know I'm going to be staying in for the day.  Here's a few ways of which I usually have my hair ...

Most of the time the styles I have are down and straight with lots of volume, Side low pony with volume or a high pony with volume. I do sometimes have it curly but it's very rare, I wasn't too keen on my hair how it was curly in the picture above, not sure why but it did look better than on the photo. I really do want to start trying new styles but am so hooked on the usual ones.

30 Day Beauty Challenge : Day 02 — Favourite bag that you own

I own lots and I mean lots of bags, I managed to sell a few and throw/give some away. Now a days I tend to stick to satchel bags and smart simple bags I hate carrying bags in the crook of my arm I prefer ones that go over my shoulder with either a long chain or strap. My favourite bag is actually one my Nan brought for herself from a charity shop (not sure which one) last year I think it was or maybe even the year before and I loved it but knew she brought it for herself so never really asked about it then I noticed that she had never used it and then found out she had took it with her to sell when she done a car boot, I was like noooooooooo but then she remembered she hadn't sold it I was so happy. She gave it me earlier this year and here it is....

Isn't it gorgeous I love it, Mind you the picture doesn't do it much justice (silly iPhone) as you can see it's a padded (I think that's what it's called?) bag with a chain/leather strap that isn't too short but isn't long either. I'm not sure where it is originally from but it is such good quality not like the cheap one's that are around at the moment and can carry quite a lot of heavy things too. I had it around summer time maybe late summer and honestly haven't stopped using it I use it every day I really do love it.

So there is my favourite bag that I own. I do apologise for the crappy picture my photos will be so much better once I get my new camera for christmas, I can't wait!

Rihanna & Calvin Harris at the NIA Birmingham

Last night I finally went to see Rihanna doing her Loud Tour, It seems like forever since my Boyfriend purchased the tickets (he brought me them for my birthday). I was so excited to go too excited in fact to the extent that I had chest pain lol! I go OTT excited with some things but it was Rihanna after all, it's not often you get to be in the same room as her. We got there quite early so didn't have to wait outside in the que long and we got food then went straight to our seats, the only problem with being early was it felt like we had been waiting hours for the performance to start. I had forgot that Calvin Harris was Rihanna's support act so when he came on to start the show I was like ahhhhhhhhh soooo excited!!! He done the most amazing DJ set ever and I mean ever, the bass was that heavy it literally made my chest hurt to start with, he definitely got everyone going and made everyone very hyper lol! I think he played his set for an hour maybe a bit longer then Rihanna came on, She is so beautiful and such a good singer, I did watch her on X Factor the other day and thought she was a bit crap but last night she was honestly amazing and so so pretty. I loved the night so much thank you to my boyfriend for buying the tickets and coming with me :) it was an amazing night (amazing is my favourite word as you can probably tell). I didn't really take any pictures but we did take some videos but to be honest I was enjoying it too much to bother recording and my iPhone camera is poop!

Here is a picture of the front of the programme that the boyfriend brought, some amazing glossy pictures inside there.

Lucy Mecklenburgh: Love Lucy X

Lucy Mecklenburgh from TOWIE launched her clothing range quite a while back now, I think about 2 months ago or something like that? Anyway I'd never really looked through the website to be honest and I had an email come through today off the website as I did actually sign up before it was launched, so I thought I would have a peek. I haven't really had an inspiration to do any posts for a while but then I had an idea of looking through the TOWIE girl's clothing ranges and have decided to do a post on every range, I've already done one for Lauren Goodger's simply be clothing range which I absolutely adore. Ok so I will get on with it now!

I do love Lucy's make-up and some of the clothes she has worn in TOWIE but I wouldn't say she was one of my favourites on the show, I don't dislike her because at the end of the day how do we know what is true on the show and what is not and I also don't think it's fair in anyway to judge her especially when none of us know her (ok some people do obviously).

The website itself is quite simple really but it's actually quite nice, I do think it could have more to it though as it does kind of look like it hasn't had much effort put into it but then again it's only the start so it may get better. I had a look through the clothes and I honestly think they all look really cheap and tacky, the prices are far too high, maybe the clothes look better in person or on but I personally would not purchase anything whatsoever.

You can check out Lucy's website here , is there anything that you like? and would you pay the prices? let me know in a comment below :)

My Birthday, the big 20!!

Aloha! :)

So yesterday was my Birthday (my 20th WTH scary!), I had such a lovely chilled day and lovely present's too :)
I got up at 7.30am to open my presents then went back to bed for an hour (or two) I felt so rough (totm) then I got ready and went out with my Mum, didn't do much just went to a few places, then I came home and started getting ready for the evening. At 7pm we all went to Frankie & Benny's for a meal for my Birthday the people who came were, my Mum, Dad, Brother, Nan, Uncle Lance, Auntie Julie and Ryan my cousin (My granddad wasn't too well so stayed at home). I love Frankie & Benny's it's such a nice place to go to, we had a really nice meal and such a laugh, the only thing that did bring my day down a bit was the thing in which us girls have every month, which made me feel a bit down and horrible but I didn't let that wreck my day. Then we came home and had birthday cake. It was a really nice day.

I was going to add some pictures but I am really wary of sharing pictures of my family on here because I have heard of people stealing other people's photos and using them themselves which I think is creepy, So I'd rather not share pictures on here.

Clean & Clear Morning Energy Shine Control Range

Saturday whilst I was out shopping I knew I needed a face wash as I'd ran out of my one I was currently using which was witch facial wash foam for oily skin. When I was in my local sainsbury's I noticed that the Clean & Clear range was on offer so I had a look, I noticed that there was only 2 of the products for oily skin left and the rest of the oily items were gone but the one for normal skin and the other (can't remember which the other ones where for) were all still there so I picked them up as they were on offer 2 for £5 and purchased them, I picked up the shine control daily facial wash and the daily facial scrub too. Once I got them home I had a little sniff as I like to see what the products smell like before I use them, I was not impressed they smelt like washing up liquid the dark green fairy washing up liquid, this put me off slightly but I used the facial wash anyway.

The facial wash is the only one I have used so far and this claims to 'Give you shine free skin all day. Not only does the formula remove dirt, oil and impurities but also leaves your skin looking shine free all day'
Well from using this product for the past  4 nights I can say it does not do any of this, after the first use I noticed my skin felt constantly oily all night and the next day and I actually had more oil on my face than normal. Tonight was my 4th night of using this and right at this moment my nose feels so unbelievably greasy and vile and I cannot seem to get the feeling to go away, it feels to me like my face is dirty and I just feel vile. I know it's only the 4th night and some people may say it's too soon to be writing a review but honestly I feel so greasy, I won't be using this again and I will most definitely not be trying the facial scrub either as I could imagine this would not be much different.

This product doesn't work for me but it may work for you but personally I would not recommend.

Do any of you girls have any tips or know of anything that can help my oily t-zone?

Sleek Pout Polish

Yesterday I went shopping to Merry Hill with the Boyfriend again, I didn't really get much this time just another ring from Primark in blue and also another style waist belt then I popped into Superdrug to get the Sleek Pout Polish I've been thinking about getting for a while, I got the polish in the colour 'Frosting' which is a gorgeous light pink I love it.

This cost  £4.50 I think but I'm not entirely sure although it was under five pounds.
I was wary as whether to buy this at first as I had saw on some blog reviews that it didn't provide much colour and I'm not very keen on no colour on my lips but I just decided to purchase it seeing as I had been and tested it a few times on my hand but never purchased. Once I got it home I tried it on and it really does look lovely with a tan and gives just enough colour although I did have to put a new coats on to get the colour I desired but I don't mind that anyway.
I really do love it and it would also look great over a pink lipstick. One thing I'm not too keen on though is the taste it gives which isn't very nice although when I smelt the product it smelt nice, don't quite understand that but it is lovely and I really would recommend it.

You can purchase this from your local superdrug or superdrug online too.

Gok Wan for TU

I noticed in my local Sainsbury's last week that Gok Wan was launching his own clothing range with TU (the clothing brand within Sainsbury's) to be honest I didn't think much into it as I'm not usually particularly interested in the clothing sold at Sainsbury's. Today I went into my local Sainsbury's (sorry a lot of Sainsbury's mentioned here) and had a little look through the clothing section with my Mum and I caught a glimpse of the Gok Wan clothing (I'd forgotten that it was being launched today) so I went to have a look and I was amazed it was all so stunning and I mean all of it not just one piece, I wanted to purchase it all instantly (there was one women that did). The clothing is so elegant and classy but really affordable too which is great.

Here is the range...

The first item of clothing that caught my eye was the smart pencil skirt type dress which is something I have been looking for recently, I think it's gorgeous and really smart. This is actually called a Cheongsam Dress and is £45 and is also available in red. The kimono I think is absolutely gorgeous my Mum fell in love with it, it's so bright and different, this is £30 and also available in black. The Palazzo Pant that the beautiful model is wearing with the Kimono are also within the Gok range and they are  £30 and are available in coral also, I'm very tempted to purchase those if they suit my figure.

Next is this lovely Ultimate Wrap Dress which is £40 and also available in plain black and a print the same as the Kimono too. I love this as it's long and so smart also it looks a really nice fit too.

The 'Perfect Fit Pant' look amazing don't they? I really think they are so nice, they are £25 and also available in Black and a Pinky Red.

Those are just a few of the pieces that Gok has launched, you can check out the rest here. He has also launched a few different types of shirts, A swing tux, A slash neck shift dress, A flirty dress, A stretch jodhpur that gives all over hidden support and A trapeze top. The range starts from £20 - £45 which is very affordable. I love these items and am definitely thinking about purchasing a few of the items. Gok was launching his range at a Sainsbury's in Cannock which is not too far from me today but unfortunately I couldn't make it boooo!

What are your thoughts on the range? do you love it or are you not so keen?

MUA Starry Night Eyeshadow Pallet (Full Review)

Today, after finally cleaning my room (I'm so lazy) and it really did need a good clean, I decided to do some quick eye looks with the MUA Starry Night Pallet. Here is one look I used the 2 top left colours (pink and purple) and the purple on the end of the bottom row on the right. I just blended them using a Pretty Sporty soft eyeshadow brush that I got in a set from boots a few years ago. In my last review I said the eyeshadows weren't very high pigmented well they are but that may be because I put quite a lot on lol! My foundation base I used a Estee Lauder Double Wear tester in Beige, I hate the stuff it's so sticky and heavy and doesn't dry quick enough but I wanted to just use a quick base for this so picked that.

This second look I used the bottom row on the left grey, the 3rd and 5th colour on the top row and also the black lined under my eye oh and not forgetting the white. I didn't really like this probably because I used eyeshadow up to my brow and I hate doing that but I did anyway (I know weird right?)

Overall I think they are ok but I personally don't think I'll be wearing any of the colours as they are really shimmery too shimmery for me liking to be honest but maybe if I didn't use them as thick then who knows. I also tried the Bronzer and Blusher and I loved them so I will more than likely be using them at some point. I think I am still going to purchase the Heaven and Earth Pallet but I'm going to test it on my hand in store first if that's possible (I haven't seen testers for this brand).

Unfortunately this pallet doesn't work for me, I do love the girlie colours but they aren't what I like to wear but maybe they will work for you so why not try it? and for £2.50 you can't go wrong :)

Also to add my eyes started burning and my face itching after applying all the products I tried about today so unfortunately I won't be using any again as it obviously doesn't agree with my skin :(

Admire

Ok.. so I have decided everyday I am going to do a post (maybe more than one) of something/someone that I love, People I admire/Idol's, Products that I love/use etc etc. Just so I know I can do a post everyday about something and I love writing about thing's that I love so why not do this! Today I am going to write about someone who I admire and that someone is Lauren Goodger off The Only Way is Essex

How beautiful is she?

I loved Lauren from the first episode of TOWIE, She is gorgeous, always looks flawless and her style is stunning so is her hair too! In the first series of TOWIE I loved her but even more in the 2nd and also in the 3rd that is currently running at the moment, My reason is because in the 2nd and 3rd series of TOWIE we all got to know her a lot better. She in my eyes is definitely someone to look up to and admire, she is confident, stylish, independent, strong and successful! She has brought out her own Fake tan called Lauren's way (I'm sure you've all heard about it, if not then check it out it is literally amazing) and also hair extensions and is launching a clothes line for Simply Be (which is out sometime next week, check it out they are amazing pieces).
I understand that some people may judge her by what she is like on the show but in my opinion why would you believe everything that is on Tv and at the end of the day she kept getting back with Mark because she loved him, don't all us girls fall into that trap at some point even if it's just someone we like? If they treat us like complete shit we still go back because we like/love them a lot and also I have read a few papers who write about her and I don't tend to believe any of the nasty stuff and if you do then obviously you must believe all bullshit that Magazines/Newspapers write!

Obviously I don't know her personally but I think she's a lovely, strong, independent, successful women who is making a good career of herself and she will most definitely get far (she already has now). She is most definitely someone I look up to and I hope to become as successful as her one day!
